Kathleen Keating has devoted more than 15 years to high tech public relations and marketing communications in both corporate
and agency environments. Today, in consulting with small- to medium-sized companies, Kathy is highly valued for her skill
in guiding clients' PR strategy, as well as her ability to foster strong relationships among the journalists, analysts
and opinion-makers who cover their industry areas.
The depth and international perspective to Kathy's approach
to PR stem in part from her five years with IBM. In that setting, she drove worldwide media relations efforts spanning
the company’s five software brands -- WebSphere, Lotus, Tivoli, Rational and Information Management/DB2 -- along with
its global services and hardware divisions.
Prior to IBM, Kathleen directed public relations efforts for infrastructure
management software provider Concord Communications. In this role, she managed the company's communication campaigns in
the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands and South Africa.
Earlier in her career, Kathy was an account director
at one of the world's largest PR agencies, Weber/Shandwick. During seven years there, she developed and conducted broad-based
PR programs in technologies that ranged from enterprise software, infrastructure management across applications and databases
to managed services, network management and application integration.
Kathy holds a degree in English from Framingham
State, an MA in communications from Emerson College, and is an adjunct faculty member at Emerson where she teaches Principles
of Public Relations.
